Sicheng obtained his BSc in Physics from the Southern University of Science and Technology in 2023 and MPhil from the Chinese University of Hong Kong in 2025. During his undergraduate studies, he worked on electro-optic modulators, and later moved into the field of cold atoms during his master's degree, where he participated in building a Rubidium Bose–Einstein condensate experiment.
Outside the lab, Sicheng enjoys playing guitar, jogging, reading, and travelling. His favourite books include The Myth of Sisyphus and the I Ching.
